on of the missionaries thats in my branch for the time, told me that Jehovah Witnesses weren't allowed to be friends with mormons. I have a J.W. friend, and when i asked her if they were allowed to be friends with mormons, she said yes. so i want to know one thing, are they or aren't they allowed to be friends with mormons

My mother is a j.w. and she hasn't stopped talking to me!!! and i also have j.w. friends. listen to your friend on this one. from what i understand from my mother informing me on certain issues concerning the j.w's beliefs, they are not TOLD that they should not associate with mormons or any other religion. if a person is of the j.w. faith and says that what your missionary friend said is true, then they are lying, because it's a personal choice, not a general rule of j.w's. and don't believe what all missionaries say, cuz it's a none fact (at least in N.Y.C.) that a lot of them talk about things that they don't know.
I also have a friend who is a Jehovah Witness. She has a number of friends that are LDS. I know that they are protective of their religion and their people, as we are but they are allowed to have Mormons as friends. I believe the missionary was mistaken. He could have been given incorrect information.
