Wow, you are one of the most mislead people I have ever met. Saved by grace? Please, you can't honestly believe that our actions mean nothing in this life, and that all we have to do is believe. James said Faith without works is dead. Thus faith is a verb and not a noun. Why does God punish people throughout the Bible. Pharoh, Sodom and Gamorah, Cain, the list goes on and on. Do you think God has a random way of choosing people to punish for no reasons at all. Study up, you'll find out that God punished them because of their works. Did Jesus die for the heck of it? Does His sacrifice not save us if we repent and believe and strive to be better people? Or can I come over to where you are and kick your butt and burn your house down and not have to worry about what God thinks about such actions? In the Eph. it talks about having faith and being saved. Hebrews 11 talks about faith. Try reading the whole Bible. Why not talk to missionaries from our Church? Are you scared that you might believe? Where does it say in the Bible to go around and trash talk other religions or people? It doesn't. It says to not bare false witness against our neighbors. Think about it.

Good works should be a result

Good works should be a result of our Salvation, not to gain salvation. If you realy believe in the bible, then you would not misinterpret or ignore some verses (such as the verses above). In those verses it plainly says that Jesus is God and Salvation is of Grace, not of works.

Apply your 2 Cor. scripture

Apply your 2 Cor. scripture to your own leaders. We believe God and Christ are one in purpose, not body because nowhere does it define it that way. Christ has authority to call himself by his Fathers name in the same way the angel that appeared to John in Rev. had authority to speak in the first person as if he were Christ, yet he was not Christ. John thought he was Christ and went to worship him. The angel corrected him and said "I am thy fellow servant, worship God." Authority to call himself Father and speak for the Father doesnt mean he is now PHYSICALLY his oun Father.
