I had to have a catchy subject to get you here...I dare you to stay. From My opinion, i think that people hate Mormons unjustly. I promise you that there is not a true, honest LDS person that didn't want to help another, share a warmth of his of her heart, serve his fellow man or make the world better for another. Some LDS people that aren't so true to the faith might not better things in the world and we ALL have our faults. Because of this, people identify all LDS people in a negative light. Read more

Since God is perfect and humans arent then how can God allow imperfection into heaven? Mormons say that you are judged on how obediant you were to God, along with accepting that Jesus died for us. But no where in the Bible does it say that people get to heaven through good works. Also, how do you know if your going to Heaven? There is no unit of measurment that tells you how good you have been and whether or not you are good enough to get to Heaven.

You can not use any type of true knowlege from any book other than the BIBLE.
All are forgiven as Jesus died on the cross for your sins. GOD is the Father The Son the Holy Ghost.
Joseph Smith was a druggie and spoke to his dreams he had and saw angels all the time. Now if you smoke weed all the time you too will see things. Read more

Hello. This is Matt. Thank you, Mormon, for answering my question (see "Quick Question..."). However, there is a problem with the LDS interpretation of Jehovah (LORD) and Elohim (God). First we will set our definitions. You said, “We do believe that the Lord [LORD in KJV] who speaks in the OT is Jesus Christ” (insert mine). So we will define “LORD,” in the Old Testament, as a reference to Jesus (in his premortal existence—see the LDS Bible Dictionary). You also said, “We do believe that when the word ‘God’ is used it is almost always refering to Christ and not his Father. Read more

    Gal 1:6-8
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
    KJV

Wasn't this whole thing started with the Angel Moroni?

I was visiting Temple Square over the holidays and asked (I've wondered before and have looked up "opinions") what all the symbols on the Temple in Salt Lake and Logan mean. My LDS friend, who was married in the Temple, nor his wife knew. They actually never even noticed before. Most of the stuff I read on the .net is from anti mormon sites, but I can't find any info. from mormon (pro or just info) sites. Anyone know, or can share their ideas, readings ect. I've read much on the Mason connection, goatshead star(one point down), the Egyptian "all seeing eye" and so on. Read more

What about Galations 2:16-17? That says we are not "justified by the works of the law", but "justified by the faith of Christ."

Hello, my name is Casey. I read some of the messeges that have been going on for this thread, and I would like to clear up a few things. Mormons have never claimed to be one with the Christian Churches. In fact, when Joseph Smith had his first vision, God the Father and Jesus the Christ told Joseph Smith Jr. that all the churches were wrong, that he should join none of the sects, that all their creeds were an abomination in his sight, and that all the professors of the faith were lost. Joseph Smith Jr. Read more
