Due to the manner in which all the Mormon scriptures were written, translated, etc. it is very difficult to prove their validity. Fortunately, God has finally granted us with something that we can use to settle the score: The Book of Abraham. Joseph Smith claimed to have "translated" it from Egyptian. He was "given the gift" to translate it, and in his own words spent many hours "translating" it. Now that we have the actual book of Abraham and we take a look at it and qualified Egyptologists study it and translate it, we can clearly see that Joseph Smith had not a clue what he was doing. Catholics do not worship Mary, the Mother of Christ--as though she were a deity. Of all the misconceptions about Catholic belief and practice, this one is the most absurd. Catholics are just as aware as Protestants that Mary was a human creature, and therefore not entitled to the honors which are reserved to God alone. What many non-Catholics mistake for adoration is a very profound love and veneration, nothing more. Mary is not adored, first because God forbids it, and secondly because the Canon Law of the Catholic Church, which is based on Divine Law, forbids it. Read more

There is a wide variety of knowledge and understanding of church doctrine, not just among non-Mormons, but among the Mormons as well. Even IdahoSpud, who "used to be a Mormon" didn't understand the timeline of the Book of Mormon. The contents of the Brass Plates and the plates of Ether are explained at the very beginning of the Book of Mormon. There is a page entitled "A brief explanation of the Book of Mormon", even before the actual text starts. Read more

Can you please show me one coin from any of your civilizations in the BOM....

The Bible has been proven time and time again....

How about some weapons, cities, some proof validated by someone else than the mormon church...National Geographic, Smithsonian, Discovery Channel, someone who accidently found a site that has no claim to it..your talking about millions of people to have vanished...where is the proof

You must be too lazy to look beyound what you want to hear to find the truth. I understand that at one time polygamy was a part of mormonism, but now is no longer. Can someone explain briefly why? Thanks!

Some of you may remember a few months back, when I published "The Bible Says 1830." Thanks for all your comments. The feedback has been extremely useful. I have published a second edition, and so far the feedback has been extremely positive. The argument is now been strengthened, thanks to some new discoveries. The Bible says 1830, and that fact is now very hard to deny.

According to D&C 88:22, a person who "is not able to abide the law of a celestial kingdom cannot abide a celestial glory." Are you abiding a celestial law?

Most non-Catholic Christians believe that the Bible is the sole rule of Faith. This was one of Martin Luther's claims when he broke away from the Catholic Church, ie., the claim of "Sola Scriptura." Catholics have, however, always accepted the teaching authority of the Church together with the Bible as the basis for our Faith.

SO HOW DID CATHOLICS ARRIVE AT THIS POSITION?
