Baptist76, Nothing about Mormonism "conrdicts" the Bible. Youve gotta gather yourself and think straight or the whole world is confusing.
What did Mormons DO to you that was so offensive in your few weeks as one? How many times did you actually go to the meetings?
Do you realize that there are many books missing from the Bible? Can you tell me what was in them?
You cannot know that the doctrine of 3 kingdoms is an incorrect doctrine...Paul spoke of the "third heaven" so is he also contadicting the Bible? And what about the "many mansions" prepared for us by the Lord?
Becoming like God when you die is not at all against the Bible. God said He would give men crowns of glory and that they could stand at His right hand and recieve of everything that He had and "yes" we DO believe it.
Why is it so hard to imagine that God has a wife? If he created men in His own image, whose image did he create women?
Again, you cannot say this is untrue doctrine just because the parts of the Bible we have do not explain it. Maybe the doctrine was contained in one of those lost books of scripture.
You cant read anywhere in the Old Testament about baptism yet the New Testament mentions the baptisms of Moses. Does this mean the NT contradicts the OT? We believe baptism has always been a part of the true gospel of Christ and we were criticised for it by those against Mormonism, but now along come the dead sea scrolls and they talk of baptisms being performed BEFORE Christ's time.
We Mormons were not worthy of all the condemnation for this as time has proven.
My point is, not every truth is written or comprehended and revelation will continue to be delivered from God to men.

Tell me how the Mormon church is a cult and Christ's church as he organized it while he lived was not?
What makes this church a cult and his earlier one not?
What cultish behavior are we guilty of that the saints and leaders of his day were not?
We baptize for the dead, it is true, and so did the early saints. I realize it is barely touched on in the New Testament but many Christian Church historians agree that the practice was being performed in the early christian church (apostles time and some time after that). So you condemn them along with us if you believe this is false doctrine.
Jesus and Satan brothers?
Jesus and Satan were both created by God and therefore they can naturally be called brothers cant they?
The name Lucifer means "shining one" and "light bringer" so we can assume he was once a being who was good. At some point after being created he chose to rebel against good and light and was cast out of heaven and now his title is "prince of darkness".
Lucifer was called a "son of the morning" and was also refered to as the "star that fell from heaven" in the Bible.
Compare that to Christ who was called "the bright and morning star"
Both were bright, light, shining, sons, and morning stars.
If they were both sons then who was their father? Do you suppose they had different fathers? We certainly dont.
We believe God is from a different planet?
If we used a different term like place, area, relm, or whatever would that make you happy? Do you personally know where God lives? Is heaven a planet, place, area, relm or what?
We believe we can become gods in charge of our own planet?
We believe that it is possible to become perfect through the atonement of Christ and He has promised to give His followers all that He has and stand at his right hand. What does this mean? Does it mean all power as in power of creation? We believe so. Does standing at His right hand mean becoming priests and priestesses as He is? Yes, we believe it and again it is very Biblical.
We claim to be just like most christians with few minor differences? Now here you are very wrong. We do NOT claim to be just another christian faith. There are MAJOR differences, just as the gospel Christ taught was different than the what the other Jewish faiths taught. They all claimed to believe in the same God and held the same book of scripture but still they were very different. One was new and true the other was old and corrupt and no longer believed in living prophets.
