I will make this short and sweet. First of all I agree with you, that Mormons have a problem with there doctrine. It clearly contradicts the Holy Bibles message. However, I think it is not wise of you, or in anyway pleasing to the Lord to come here and address these people in such a manor. Although I do not know what you purpose is in stating what you did, the way you said it implies that you truly don't care about these people or respect them. Please don't talk down to them and try to show God a little more respect when you speak for him. Speak only if you want to help show them truth. Speak in love, you need to remember that Mormons' don't see there religion as false. So although I agree with your message I don't agree with how you brought it. I hope you'll be more respectful in the future.

First of all, I would like to say that I was utterly disgusted by the comments that "Inachu" made on the post titled "Lies Lies Lies." While it may appear that by what information he presented that he is from a Christian background, it is impossible to tell if he is a Christian based on his actions. If he is a Christian, he is doing a poor job to follow Christ, and an enemy to what the cross of Christ stands for; and I say that mildly!
Your claims were not backed up by scripture, even after you made the statement, "You can not use any type of true knowledge from any book other than the Bible." Please follow your own advice...use the Bible to back up your claims. Nobody is interested in your opinions at all. People want truth...as Jesus said in John 17:17 "...thy word is truth." So don't you dare post another bold statement without ample support from scripture.

I do not know where you are getting your information regarding Joseph Smith Juniorâs history, but everything you have stated on your post regarding Joseph is a fabrication. Study your history! Joseph Smith did not smoke weed, as you claim, without citing. He never claimed to translate the Rosetta Stone as you so imply....again you do not cite your information. You infer that Joseph Smith Jr. adds and takes away from the Bible [again you do not cite your information]; but I believe you were referring to the passage in Revelation 22:18-19: âFor I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.â I agree with Mormons that this passage is referring only to the book of Revelation, and not to the whole Bible. With that though, the Joseph Smith Translation adds and takes away from the book of Revelation, and not only that, but to the whole Bible [For more information on this, please request it, and I will gladly provide it]. âInachuâ continues to make some of the most nasty, inappropriate comments I have ever heard regarding another human being, especially considering the one 12 million souls hold so dear!
While I do believe that the Latter-day Saint Church teaches another God, Jesus, Gospel, and Spirit than what is found in the Bible, a Christ-like approach must be taken to âreason togetherâ [Isaiah 1:18] so that we can âProve all things [and] hold fast that which is goodâ [1 Thessalonians 5:21]. Mormons are just as interested in truth as everyone else, and they deserve your respect because they, like everyone, bear the image of God. This does not mean that we have to accept their religious views; but I respect their right to believe what they want.
âInachuâ I suggest studying one of the four gospels again to remind yourself of how we ought to love one another: those in the faith, and not in the faith. Although, as I have already stated, I have no reason to believe that you are a genuine Christian, based on your hateful overflow of your heart.
1 Corinthians 13:1-8a: âThough I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. Finally, I would like to apologize to all the Mormons out there who have been hurt and offended by the comments made by âInachu.â What he said about Joseph Smith Jr. in his posts were complete lies...I know because I have studied Joseph Smithâs history extensively. I want to separate him from all the Christians coming to this site who want to reason with the Latter-day Saint community, and hope that his actions do not cause permanent damage to the relationships that have begun to be built.

If you think youâre going to reach anybody with that kind of insulting, angry message you are very mistaken.
I am a Christian. I Love Mormons and wish to reason with them not lecture at them. Maybe... just maybe they are right. Maybe there is something I have missed. Maybe... just maybe Christians are right. Maybe there is something Mormons have missed. You need to study, learn, and talk about these issues with love, and the willingness to learn. So far my studies have showed the bible to be God's Word, and it tells us things that are very different from Mormon teachings about the nature of God. People like Casey are the kind of people that are going to be effective in reaching others. He has studied the same issues as I have and found the same answers. He is now presenting them in a way that explains his research, but leaves the door open for rational discussion.
Read Caseyâs posts to learn how to present information in a loving way. Now I will leave the door open to you. If you can show me that the passage I quoted here was quoted incorrectly and that the bible says to treat people in the manner you did in your post please show me and I will respond. If you look up the passage I quoted and find others in the Word to back it up, thus showing my understanding to be correct, then please apologize to the people here for the insults. God bless you.

I am not the one who is offended at your comments. You answer directly to our Heavenly Father. WE (LDS) believe that we are Christ's church on the earth. We do not believe we are the defenders of our belief in that notion but believe we are defenders of the virtue of God's work upon the earth. After your diatribe several other non-LDS folks have scolded you for your weakness.
I will let them take care of that. AS for me, I will simply note that until you have a basis for discussion please stay off the computer it will probably cause serious mental disorders.
The problem is UTAH is a State of the Union. We have a signed document accepted by all of the States that formed a "...more perfect union.." and developing certain Articles that give us freedom. You have it, we have it, Casey and Scott have it. We (LDS) people have the right to live in UTAH. But you want to know something else, we also live in California, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, Alabama, Florida...wait a minute all fifty states, all the states of Mexico and provinces of Canada, every non-muslim country in the world. Man we're everywhere.

If you have been reading the recent postings, you will notice a number of people taking up Brigham Young's challenge to compare the doctrines of the LDS church with those of the Bible. I know Casey and have met with him a number of times, and I know that his heart is in the right place--he acts in love. I however do not like to see postings that "bash" Mormons and refer to Joseph Smith as a "PSUEDO educated druggie smoke dope bum." I agree that it is necessary to ask, "Is the LDS church correct? Does it agree with the Bible?" However, I find name calling unnecessary; it does not further the cause of the Kingdom of God. So, inachu, please think carefully before you write.

I am a non practising Mormon,
I am a non practising Mormon, but the church is still in me, i love my father and i love those that strive to further understanding of the church.
One of the things that gave me this love and understanding of the LDS faith is Baptizm.
Would you as parents condem children to Hell because of something their parents had neglected or forgotten to do, of course you wouldent, and neither would our father in heaven, and if you do indeed feel that babies need this, then you do not love god, you do not Know he is a mercifull and loving father. Our father in Heaven lives, forget all the thunderbolts and lightning stories you have heard, love your father as he loves you, i know Jesus lives also, when people say Jesus and god are one they are correct in as much as they strive for the one goal, and that is your salvation (and mine of course)please please do not think babies need baptizm, Baptizm is for those that need it, baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins, babies need none of this for they are incapable of commiting sin, in the words of a very well known man.

When Jesus came to the eleven disciples and told them to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-19), who was he talking about? Nations are made up of all ages of people. Why do you think it is alright to say you know more then Jesus? How do you explain the many verses in the Holy Bible concerning children, and their faith. Jesus said whoever welcomes a little child in my name welcomes Me. Or the verse in Mark 10:14, let the little children come to me. Now that you see Jesus loves children, as you already know, let us look at why they need to be baptized by the one true God.
FIRST: What is Baptism?
Baptism is not just plain water, but it is water used by God's command and connected with God's word.

What you have done is blindly followed a man whe created his own procedure to the gates of heaven. It's really too bad because he will be taken so many wonderful people to outer darkness. God is a wonderful being. He gave his one and only Son for us [sinful humans], so that we may have life eternal through faith in Christ. What Joseph Smith has done is created his own path to heaven, and unfortunately that's a one way ticket to eternal hell. Read the story in the Holy Bible of Moses' cousin, Aaron, the high priest and his two sons. God gave them a procedure to follow, and they became a little too confident and decided to make unauthorized fire. And so God killed both men on the spot. God demands you follow His procedure and not that of your own. Humans have always had their minds focused on themselves. Adam and Eve were tempted with becoming like God, and they wanted that, so instead of following God's procedure they folowed their own. Man is still trying to follow their own way. We are filthy rags to God. We all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. That is why there is nothing we can do to get to God. He first chooses us and gives us faith, with that faith it is then our job to water the seed of faith God planted in us. God controls how much it grows, not us. He is the one in charge, not us. He is the one who laid the rules for our ticket to heaven, not us. If you choose to follow your own path it will lead to destruction.
I think if you truly believed Mormonism was correct, you would study everything about it. You would read the anti-Mormon literature, as it's called, you would go to a Christian church to compare the differences, you would study the Holy Bible and learn God's procedure. I have a excellent book you should read. Go to the library and check it out, it is so true, [and no it's not anti-mormon]. It's called TEN LIES ABOUT GOD and How You Might Already Be Deceived by Erwin W. Lutzer. Read it, after all your religion is believes it won't crumble if investigated.
