Arsenios...sadly misled
Man YOU are the one twisting things. You claim absurtidies like "1st Corinthians even criticizes baptism for the dead". If you read that scripture CORRECTLY you would know he was giving a hypothetical question. He was asking "why are people baptized for the dead if the dead don't even rise?" But of COURSE he is a follower of God therefore he BELIEVED in the resurrection! He was saying that the dead ARE baptized and they DO rise from the dead. And your mention of people coming from the graves? People who weren't given an opportunity to experience the Savior's Gospel and followed the Law of Moses righteously are allowed to be resurrected. They didn't NEED to be taught the gospel of Christ because they didn't have the opportunity! Moses' Law was a temporary thing, but people still needed to be devote followers! Sheesh. Also about the "sexual relation with Mary" thing. Give me reference..give me the quote that says Brigham young believed in that! Church doctrine states today that there isn't much known about it, but that Mary was a virgin before and AFTER she conceived Jesus. And when the General Authorities say "a natural and normal event" they don't mean sexually natural, they even say they mean according to the LAWS of nature, that God obeyed the law of nature and didn't break them even thought Mary was a virgin after her concieving. This shows that there are ways to make things happen while still obeying the natural laws. Lets see...what else did you oppose? Man you posted a lot of stuff. This may take a while

OK Here we go. You claim that
OK Here we go. You claim that "4,000 errors were corrected not including grammatical." That is a lie. Sandra and Jerry Tanner, right? They ACTUALLY said "3,129 errors which weren't really important due do them being grammatical!" So not only is 4,000 an overstatement but they WERE grammatical. Your precious Tanner couple said it themselves!!
Oh woops well it was 3,913 I
Oh woops well it was 3,913 I believe. And that one guy Jim basically just posted the same thing I did.
Okey dokey. Jesus having
Okey dokey. Jesus having wives! Well I read that the wedding party..remember that? That it very well could have been for Jesus. It's VERY concievable that Jesus had a wife and perhaps more than one. As for who they were..who knows. Just post a passage of the JoD from Brigham where he mentions who he married, etc. I never heard of that therefore I can't really argue this one. I have read that according to church doctrine today we aren't completely sure whether he was or wasn't married. Even though Brigham said so.....there are a lot of things Brigham is claimed to have said that aren't true.
Alright. The whole "movies of
Alright. The whole "movies of the high council and Jesus being brothers with Satan" etc. Ok WHAT is your obsession with movies? Do you KNOW how much doctrine is in our Church?! A LOT. We have better things to do then make a movie about EVERY SINGLE FREAKING PRINCIPLE AND DOCTRINE! Besides, movies are just nice little conveniences. The doctrine is IN THE BOOKS. That is why we encourage people to spend more time reading then watching nice little movies. As for saying Christ is the same... HE IS. He is the same Christ who is the begotten Son of God who gave his life so we could become like our Heavenly Father. He broke the binding cords of death. He is the same Christ, we just differ on how he was related according to us and the spirit world. You sound like your complaining that he wasn't the EXACT same Christ as other religions...well guess what bud, we are a different religion! Of COURSE we have different doctrine and principals!

Ok it's so late, it's 2:11 AM and I don't have time to answer all these. I will see if I have time tomorrow.
"...Jesus Christ was
"...Jesus Christ was married...Mary, Martha and others were his wives, and he begat children." (Journal of Discourses, vol 2, page 210)
You know, a lot of people look at this site, and when they see you (a mormon) calling names and acting like a kid while talking about theology, it puts out a bad image on other Mormons.
It is the movies that people
It is the movies that people see first about LDS, after they see your commercials and modern ideas, they look into the church. Although these doctrines are not always told right away.
A married (and polygamous) Jesus with children, God having a tangible body and once being a man like us, Lucifer & Jesus - Spirit Brothers! The LDS would never have people joining who are already Christian if they knew that!
No, your Jesus is not the same as the 'universal' Jesus. I know that you are a different religion, but that is why I am saying this. Because you tell people that we believe in the same One. We differ greatly, but people who are drawn into LDS don't realize this before joining.
This is the point of my postings. I am not anti-mormon, I don't know why you keep writing aggressively? It shows that you are afraid of something I'm doing here! But I am writing an intelligent theological debate, if you don't like it don't participate! There are mature mormons here.
I am writing to show that there are differences that are not told to the public (mostly in the doctrines, which people don't read).
Show me where in history St
Show me where in history St Paul and his people practiced that kind of baptism. I know from history and from the writings of Church Fathers that it was practiced by heretical Christians and Gnostics.
The Patriarchate of Antioch, which still exists today, was founded by Sts Peter and Paul, and is where the Disciples were first called Christians (Acts 11:26). They have NO RECORD at all of Sts Peter and Paul or the Christians of THEIR CHURCH practicing that kind of baptism. However, they do have record that certain Heretical Christians and Christian-Gnostics DID practice it. But they were not part of THE Church and that rite is forbidden, even today. It is only the LDS which practices it. Even LDS claims it is not the same baptism that was mentioned in Corinthians, but a baptism delivered by modern revelation. So you can comment on that quote all you want, but in reality it has nothing to do with LDS practices of baptism of the dead. And why you are defending and rooting your beliefs to the practices of Heretics, I really don't know???
I understand what I wrote about the people coming from their graves. You're just clarifying what I stated...
Journal of Discourses 1:51, April 9, 1852 and 4:218 (includes Adam-God teaching)
Brigham Young declared,"He(Christ) was not begotten by the Holy Ghost...Jesus our elder brother was begotten in the flesh by the same character who was in the Garden of Eden, who is our father in Heaven."
The first part of that quote shows that he is anti-mormon and anti-christian!
About Mary being a virgin after the birth of Christ, you are speaking about a belief which is not mormon, because LDS believes that the "brothes" mentioned by Jesus were the children of Joseph & Mary. Keep your beliefs straight!
You know, after reading some
You know, after reading some of your negative and insulting replies, I don't really care if you have time or not. This is an intelliegnt Theological debate, not an arena, grow up!
